Christian Veddeler graduated from the FH Münster in 2001 and from the Technical University in Delft in 2005. While still studying he joined UNStudio in 2003. He has worked as designer on several key-projects of the office, among which the Lelystad Theatre (2003-2005), the K4 offices in Arnhem (2005-2009), the Talee Department Store (2006-2007) and several successful competitions amongst which the Light*house project for the Aarhus Docklands in Denmark (2006-) and the Eifman Dance Theater in St. Petersburg (2009-).
His focus on digital design methodology and complex geometries lead to unique solutions of space, structure and material on several projects and our pavilion designs of ‘Summer of Love’ (2005), the ‘Holidayhome’ (2006), the 2008 Venice Biennale, the Burnham Pavilion Chicago (2009) and New Amsterdam Pavilion, New York (2009) . He seeks a consistent design approach leading towards effective implementation.
