The Dutch pavilion for the Milano Triënnale is one in a series of projects in which computer techniques were experimentally used in the design and building process. The confined room of the exhibition space, measuring nine by nine metres, is expanded with the aid of the amorphous, shell-like structure, which embodies different potential. The theme of computer technology became the contents of the exhibited material: to express the disembodying qualities of the computer, the walls of the pavilion were dissolved by means of video projections on the walls. Construction, routing and contents were integrated to create a virtual walk through the pavilion.
