UNStudio is committed to the preservation of the environment through the promotion of sustainable design. Environmental issues such as economic, social and ecological sustainability are considered from the initial stages of each building project both at a global and local level as integral elements of the office’s design vision. Through the material exploration, the use of technology, and innovative design strategies the office has produced numerous projects of both high efficiency and architectural standard.
A main area of study that can be attributed in significant part to the environmental parameters that UNStudio sets out to incorporate into project design is the exploration of various façade strategies. The goal is to achieve an optimal indoor quality with regards to daylight quality, air quality, temperature performance, economics and ambitious architectural design.
