UNStudio has broken its personal best for awards and nominations.
So far this year the studio has received 20 awards and nominations – a score we usually achieve over an entire year.
Although the winners of most of the awards have yet to be announced over the coming months, we are proud of our nominations for prestigious awards like the WAF, WAN, Architizer A+, Dezeen and FastCompany Awards.
In its second success this month, The Coolest White was announced as a finalist for the 2019 Fast Company – Innovation by Design Awards under Products category, while earlier this year it also won the 2019 Architizer A+Awards for Finishes - Wall & Wall Coverings. The Coolest White has also been nominated for the 2019 Dutch Design Awards and together with the other nominees it will be exhibited at Dutch esign Week in October.
Our teams in Shanghai and Hong Kong have also received several awards. After winning the CRED Awards, Xintiandi Plaza won its second award of this year: the Gold Award of Design and Development of the 2019 ICSC China Shopping Centre & Retailer Awards in the category Renovation and Expansions. Lane 189 won the 2019 Aesthetics Vogue Awards – High Commercial Value Merit Award while Raffles City Hangzhou received multiple awards, winning Gold for Retail at the 2019 FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards, the 2019 CTBUH Annual Awards, the MEP Engineering Award as well as a Global Nomination Award for Digital Architecture from the 2019 9th IDEA-TOPS International Space Design Award.
Along with all of these nominations, The Scotts Tower has been shortlisted for the 2019 ABB LEAF Awards, for Best Residential Building Project, Multiple Occupancy Category. The UNStudio Tower Lobby has been long listed for the 2019 Dezeen Awards – with the winner set to be announced at the end of October. The Keppel Cove Marina Clubhouse has been long listed for the 2019 ArchDaily Building of the Year Awards China, along with V on Shenton, for the 2019 ArchDaily, Building of the Year Awards.
