Documentary filmmaker Hein Verhees’ latest documentary, ‘The Making of Booking.com’s Campus’ follows UNStudio founder and principal architect, Ben van Berkel, Jeroen Galle of BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling and members of the Booking.com team as they work together through the design phase, construction, and realisation of Booking.com’s Campus.
The innovative new work campus in central Amsterdam is one of the largest urban projects in Western Europe, and is the result of a unique collaboration with multiple international design firms who’ve come together to create a state-of-the-art sustainable and healthy place to work.
‘The Making of Booking.com Campus’ traces the many ways architecture, construction and developers work together to turn a design into a reality.
New Documentary Goes Behind the Scenes of the Construction of Booking.com’s New Campus
Capturing never-before-seen construction footage, Amsterdam under COVID-19 lockdown and interviews with all stakeholders, from architects to residents, this documentary captures four years work on this campus.
Director Hein Verhees works for Soulmade Movies, which makes films about people, their qualities and the works they create. Soulmade Movies visualizes the uniqueness of the individual, while always keeping an eye for beauty in all that they do.
