We are currently looking for a Asia Regional BIM Manager to join our Shanghai office who will lead BIM strategy, research, development, and optimization across our regional studios. Collaborating with our Shanghai and Hong Kong offices and the Global BIM Group, in this multifaceted role you will promote and drive digital project delivery, process innovation, and compliance with both ISO 19650 and CIC BIM (General) Standards.
Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, particularly for large-scale projects utilizing Revit and BIM workflows, with at least 4+ years as a BIM Manager or BIM Coordinator.
- Proficiency in BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit, Rhinoceros, Navisworks, Dynamo, and ACC is essential for supporting project teams, enhancing workflows, and delivering high-quality BIM outputs, including IFC integration.
- Experience in leveraging data from BIM models using tools such as Ideate, Speckle and Power BI to inform stakeholders.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain the BIM library and necessary components.
- Prepare localized templates to meet regional BIM standards, while still following UNS global requirements.
- Experience with ISO 19650 and CIC BIM Standards General preferred.
- Experience with BIMcollab, Solibri, or Revizto is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate advanced concepts clearly, leveraging soft skills and relationship building at all team levels.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with studio leadership to develop and implement BIM protocols, workflows, and systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650, CIC BIM, and UNS BIM protocols.
- Lead and execute BIM best practices and BIM Project Execution Planning.
- Maintain and uphold Global UNS BIM standards whilst developing BIM strategies for Asia region.
- Contribute to UNS BIM initiatives within the Shanghai and Asia region.
- Implementing emerging technologies in BIM to drive innovation and improvement within UNS Asia and Globally.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to establish clear BIM objectives and workflows.
- Coordinate and review project model deliveries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform clash detection and coordination, managing results in line with standards.
- Oversee the Information Management process, ensuring data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Chair BIM Coordination Workshops to meet Project EIR requirements.
- Consult with external BIM specialists and manage information handovers.
- Advise on BIM implementation during project kick-off meetings.
- Prepare strategic training initiatives and deliver in-house Revit training and mentoring sessions.
- Ensure Project BIM Managers adhere to global and regional BIM standards, facilitating knowledge-sharing between teams.
- Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to Project BIM Managers across multiple projects and studios.
- Author and maintain project-specific Building Information Management RFP, Pre-Contract, and Post-Contract documents.
- Manage and collaborate with consultants, vendors, and other resources to achieve project goals.
- Assist the Bid Coordinator in authoring BIM-specific pre-contract documents for RFPs.
- Represent Asia region in UNS Global BIM Group workshops to share and contribute regional BIM and technical delivery roadmap and best practices.
