Short-list Cincinnati Art Museum, USA

UNStudio has been announced as one of the four short-listed firms, along with Diller Scofidio + Renfro; Neutelings Riedijk; Smith-Miller & Hawkinson, for the renovation and expansion of the Cincinnati Art Museum. The 126 year old Museum currently comprises of seven interconnected structures with complex and disparate layouts.

The renovation requires not only the addition of a further 50,000 square feet of new construction, but also a coherent design that will integrate the separate structures into a cohesive whole.  The museum has invited the four short-listed firms to meet with its Architecture Selection Committee and the winning design will be selected later this Summer.
