Statement on the passing of Eberhard van der Laan, the Mayor of Amsterdam

At UNStudio, we are deeply saddened at the death of Eberhard van der Laan, the Mayor of Amsterdam.
As a public figure, van der Laan was direct, open, accessible, and particularly driven. He cared deeply about the city of Amsterdam, and shared our vision for a healthy, connected society.
We are very grateful that he presented Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos with the BNA KUBUS award at the end of last year.
He will be missed as a public figure, an Amsterdammer and a friend of UNStudio.
