Part of the urban backbone of the White City development is Nobel 25, a multi-tenant office building on Nobel avenue, organised around an internal central courtyard. The building is situated on the North side of the Avenue and comprises of 7 floors, making it a pivotal part of the White City development, together with the Twin Buildings and the Pedestrian Bridge. Large double loaded office floors offer a distinct flexibility, generating space for units ranging from 60 to 600 square meters. Smaller units linked to larger lift lobbies at the courtyard side allow all tenants to access communication space and central amenities. The building backs onto a higher ground level, resulting in two ground floors on different levels, which in turn creates distinct side elevations, with central access to the internal courtyard. Orientation and logistics are key in the internal organisation of multiple cores around the courtyard which lead to the multiple front doors of office tenants. The facade, designed to act as a screen against Baku’s summer heat, has two different ‘characters’ that break the monolithic appearance of the block. While retail and café links on the ground floor provide hosting opportunities, the public restaurant on the top floor will generate an Azeri food experience, with an exceptional view over the Caspian Sea.
