River City Carpet Auction at Phillips London

For its first edition, ARTinD invited 8 architects to design a hand-made silk carpet, drawing inspiration from the theme of the “Golden Section”. 
UNStudio designed the “River City Carpet” that took influence from the colours of traditional map work, overlapping them to form different layers, functionalities and flows within a city.
Other carpets up for auction include work from Peter Zumthor, Peter Eisenman, Thom Mayne, Norman Foster, Piero and Nathalie Sartogo, Alessandro Mendini, and Sou Fujimoto. 

The designed carpets will be exhibited in 30 Berkeley Square, London, between the 19th and 26th of April, and will subsequently be auctioned by Philips on April 29th.
