Hannes Pfau keynote at Beijing’s Penn-China Design Dialogues

The purpose of Penn-China Design Dialogues is to gather influential architects, designers, and educators to postulate what the future of architecture in China will be. The symposium will discuss four aspects: preservation, Urban design, architecture and landscape.

How technology transforms the practice of architecture in China? Where have technological advancements given us new capacities as designers? What are the limits of technology? What emerging technologies could be the most impactful for architecture in the coming years? Hannes Pfau will discuss these questions with the demonstration of our projects in China.

Hannes will then join other speakers including MAD, Zaha Hadid, Neri and Hu, Tsinghua University, Tongji University and Central Academy of Fine Arts to explore the role of technology in shaping the practice of architecture in China, both through new methods of fabrication and also through new and innovative design practices.

Where: Penn Wharton China Center, Beijing, China
