UNStudio participates in Venice Biennale Gender Equality Event

Voices of Women — VOW for short, refers to a series of events and discussions that pursue justness and respect within the field of architecture.
On May 25th, women architects gathered in solidarity at an event organized by VOW at the 2018 Venice Biennale of Architecture.
At the Giardini, they make a collective statement to pursue equity, recognition, fairness and inclusion of women, people of color, and other marginalized voices in architecture and design.

The event kicked off with a flash mob on the morning of May 25th, with a crowd of 200+ supporters. Executive Director of the Pritzker Prize Martha Thorne read the VOW Manifesto. Participants included our Co-Founder and Principal Urban Planner Caroline Bos with Odile Decq, Farshid Moussavi, Atxu Amman, Louise Braverman, Caroline James, Charlotte Malterre-Barthes, Toshiko Mori, Benedetta Tagliabue, and Francesca Perani. Supporters include: Alya Bengana, Melissa Bright, Alison Brooks, Clare Cousins, Doriana Fuksas, Gabu Heindl, Anna Heringer, Francine Houben, Anna Torriani, and Marion Weiss.
