Senior (Interior) Product Designer (10+ years)

As a Senior Product Designer within an architectural studio, you'll lead transformative projects with an innovative approach. You will work within a team of like-minded individuals, with the focus on product and furniture designs. The role entails hands-on design of furniture & other pieces of interior to elevate our designs to the next level. In addition to designing products, you will actively identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and business opportunities to drive growth and expand market reach. The role is perfect for someone who is ready for a leader role, experienced in designing furniture and products but still wants to be in close touch with hands-on designing process, as well as developing new partnerships and grow.

The Position:

  • Lead and oversee multiple large-scale projects, ensuring the integrity of the overall design, technical content, feasibility, and adherence to budget constraints.

  • Take full accountability for project outcomes, encompassing design excellence, technical proficiency, and financial viability.

  • Play a pivotal role in acquisition processes, providing valuable insights and support to secure new opportunities for the firm.

  • Represent UNStudio in formal meetings, where decisions of complex or sensitive nature are made, showcasing strong leadership and decision-making skills.

  • Utilize extensive know-how and advisory skills to navigate significant complexities inherent in project execution.

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage potential risks that could impact project delivery, operational efficiency, or the firm's position, contributing to effective risk mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Drive business development initiatives for product design, leveraging your expertise and network to expand UNStudio's market presence and opportunities.

The Requirements:

  • Master's degree or preliminary education at HBO Academy of Visual Arts, supplemented by courses in relevant field.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of the Product Design profession, with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects, with a focus on design excellence and innovation.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Strategic mindset with a keen business acumen, capable of identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in the product design market.

  • Collaborative approach to leadership, fostering teamwork, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within the organization.
