Essay: Arnhem Central Station Roof Cladding

In this paper, Marc Hoppermann of UNStudio’s Parameters Platform provides background information on the fabrication process of the GFRC roof panels for the Arnhem Central Station designed by UNStudio. The paper was written together with SORBA (the installer) and MbX (the GFRC supplier) and was presented at the IASS Future Visions 2015 conference in Amsterdam. The paper presents a case study detailing the fabrication of doubly curved GFRC roof panels for the Arnhem Central Station. These panels were produced using a flexible mould system and an innovative digital chain of information by the authoring companies.
