Tall buildings definitely are in a category all by themselves, confronting us with unique technical challenges. At the same time it is very important that we do not forget all the other challenges that cities face, for these must equally be taken into account. STH BNK has therefore been designed to make a positive impact on the city with respect to such critical, global challenges as healthy living and working, diversity and inclusiveness, mobility, public safety, climate and energy. All these aspects are incorporated in an integral way in such visible elements as the vertical gardens, and are also applied throughout invisibly by using the highest standards for sustainability, clean air, noise pollution and so on.”
