On July 14th, UNS Hong Kong opened the doors of its newly renovated office to celebrate with clients, colleagues, members of the design community, and the media. The housewarming party was a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the long-term support and collaboration that has shaped UNS Shanghai and Hong Kong’s journey in the region.

The event was hosted by Ben van Berkel, the Founder and Principal Architect of UNS, alongside Hannes Pfau, Partner and Managing Director of UNS Asia, and Garett Hwang, Director of UNS. Together, they shared their appreciation for Hong Kong, a city that has been integral to UNS’s growth and success.

Hannes Pfau, who leads the teams in both Shanghai and Hong Kong, raised a toast to the guests: “Thank you for joining us at our housewarming party. Since we arrived in Hong Kong nine years ago, we’ve been committed to building strong relationships with this city and providing exceptional service to our clients and friends. Together with our Shanghai office, we’ve had the privilege of working on remarkable projects with you, creating buildings that inspire and endure.”

Garett Hwang, Managing Director UNS Hong Kong, extended her gratitude to the local design community: “I want to thank the Hong Kong design community for welcoming us so warmly. Your support has been invaluable, and we’re eager to continue contributing to this vibrant city in every way we can. Of course, none of this would have been possible without our incredible team, who are here with us today.”

Ben van Berkel, who visited both UNS Asia offices during the week, reflected on the relationships built over the years: “We are especially grateful that many of our clients here have become our friends. This is something we always strive for. Earlier today, we visited the Lyric Theatre, and it’s thrilling to see the progress on site. This building will soon be a space for the public—welcoming both locals and international visitors. It’s exciting to see our promises to the client taking shape. At UNS, we aim to create moments like these, designing buildings that are not only exciting but also sustainable and healthy for everyone.”
