Watch Our Mini Documentary on Arnhem Central Station: "A Celebration of Travel"
:format(webp))
Arnhem Central Station was designed with a singular vision: to celebrate the joy of travel. This week, as we mark the 3rd anniversary of this iconic station, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on this milestone project and explore the vibrant daily life in and around this dynamic transfer hub.
Originally designed 20 years ago, Arnhem Central Station was conceived to go far beyond the traditional idea of a train station. Even today, it continues to redefine what a transfer hub can be.
Ben van Berkel, Founder and Principal Architect of UNS, describes the station as: “A transfer hub designed to stimulate public transport, a theatrical space where daylight plays the most important role.”
The station’s design prioritises the experience of travelers, creating a space that is not only functional but also inspiring—a place where movement, light, and architecture come together to enhance the journey.
Curious about how travelers interact with and experience the station on a daily basis? We’ve captured the essence of Arnhem Central Station in a mini-documentary created in collaboration with Dutch filmmakers Bwefar & De Boer.
Titled "A Celebration of Travel", the documentary offers a unique perspective on the station’s role as a vibrant hub of activity and connection.
Join us in celebrating this milestone and discover the story behind Arnhem Central Station. Watch the full mini-documentary, here.
