Misja van Veen is an Associate Director, Senior Architect and Urban Designer who shapes cities and urban developments as dynamic ecosystems where people, nature, infrastructure, and culture intersect. He also chairs UNS’ Quality Team, where he plays a pivotal role in championing and elevating design quality across projects.

Following his graduation from TU Delft, Misja joined UNS in 2006 bringing an approach to urban design that is forward-thinking and human-centered, creating environments that adapt, thrive, and inspire while addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges. He has played an important role in projects such as the Arnhem Central Masterplan, Brainport Smart District and the Expo City Dubai masterplan.

Misja is committed to fostering a holistic and integrative approach to urban and architectural design that balances the needs of humans and nature. As His strong involvement in the organisational aspects of project development ensures that every design is not only innovative but also executed to the highest standards.
