The Wings of Shenzhen is a project that reimagines urban mobility and connectivity in the heart of Shenzhen. Designed by a consortium including UNS, Atkins, BMEDI, and BIAD, this integrated hub combines a high-speed railway station with an international airport, creating a gateway for the city. The hub not only facilitates efficient passenger flow but also serves as a dynamic urban destination, blending sustainable mobility, cutting-edge technology, and human-centric spaces.

At its core, the Wings of Shenzhen prioritises passenger experience through its Central Plaza, a multifunctional space that connects all modes of transport, including planes, trains, metro, buses, and autonomous vehicles. This plaza acts as a marketplace and social hub, offering shopping, dining, and relaxation while embodying the spirit of Shenzhen. The design integrates natural elements like daylight and vegetation to guide passengers intuitively, creating seamless transitions between internal and external spaces. By opening the building to the city and incorporating green zones, the hub becomes more than a transit point, it transforms into a recognisable public space and a new urban gateway for the Greater Bay Area.
