Collector's Loft

The ceiling alternates between luminous and opaque elements, with 18,000 LED lights creating ambient and local lighting. This design balances the loft’s proportions, enhances the sense of height, and allows programmable lighting variations. Full-height glass panes replace the south wall windows, framing views of downtown Manhattan and extending the space with a glass balcony.

Materials include glass fibre-reinforced gypsum for the walls and ceilings, integrating technical systems, and wide Douglas fir planks for the flooring, unifying the space and allowing flexible arrangements of furniture and art. The loft facilitates daily interactions with the client’s art and books, merging life and collection.
