Daegu Wolbae IPARK
2012-2016
:format(webp))
The IPARK developments in Daegu, South Korea, challenge the uniformity of traditional mega-block housing by introducing distinct identities and prioritising health-focused living. Using a pointillist framework of colour, the designs for Blocks 1 and 2 create unique facades that connect individual apartment towers into cohesive developments while fostering a sense of ownership and community. Block 1 features horizontal bands with layered textures, while Block 2 employs diagonal colour blocking, with warmer tones used in courtyard facades to reflect their intimate, communal nature.
