Located 50 km from Cairo, UNS’s design for the Egypt Science Park campus is a future-ready ecosystem where architecture, nature, and technology converge. The campus includes 28 buildings, featuring 15 educational faculties in five clusters, six residential dormitories, and an iconic cafeteria and library pair. A central Creative Cluster and a dedicated Research Center are designed to drive innovation and academic exchange.
The Central Plaza acts as the campus's primary public space, encouraging interaction and community engagement. This area is defined by a 200-metre-long Digital Wall Facade with rotating, programmable fins, which serves as a unifying landmark.
The design's sculptural form is inspired by the flowing lines of desert dunes, creating a form that is rooted in its landscape. The facade blends dynamic shapes with a sense of place, drawing inspiration from the local environment and the six colours of ancient Egypt.
A central green heart forms a multifunctional landscape where campus life can grow, acting as a social anchor for both spontaneous interaction and programmed events. The campus prioritises student wellbeing with a car-free environment and integrated transport systems, encouraging more sustainable ways of moving and meeting.
