The design incorporates a three-finger concept, ensuring the cutlery is balanced and supported both when lifted and in use. The name “Giro,” meaning “turn” in Italian, reflects the twist in the geometry and the motion of turning the cutlery in hand for optimal use.
Inspired by architectural curves used in various projects, the twist is scaled down to create a tactile framework that relates to the body and touch. The Giro cutlery family includes items such as spoons, forks, knives, a salad set, and a cake server.
