With semi-public open spaces, recreational areas, and a hierarchy of public and private zones, the project offers a unique living and working experience while promoting biodiversity and community engagement. At the heart of the design is a commitment to sustainability and innovation. The building features a green facade and roof, rainwater management systems, and a modular construction approach that supports a cradle-to-cradle lifecycle. The architectural language draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape, with vertical greenery and natural materials enhancing the microclimate. The open spaces are designed for multifunctional use, supporting biodiversity and community initiatives, while the energy concept incorporates geothermal systems, heat pumps, and photovoltaic panels to minimise CO2 emissions. This forward-thinking project not only revitalises the area but also sets a benchmark for sustainable urban development in Berlin.
