The plan for Gyeongdo Island includes a variety of amenities such as hotels, villas, a water park, marinas, and a cable car, offering year-round activities tailored to diverse visitors. Public spaces and pedestrian routes are designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle, with buildings embedded in the landscape to maintain harmony with the natural surroundings.
The masterplan is divided into three distinct neighborhoods: Gyeongdo Gateway, featuring a port, cable car station, and vibrant entertainment spaces; Sunrise Waterfront, an inclusive leisure hub with hotels, holiday apartments, and a water park; and Sea Breeze Coast, a secluded area offering luxury accommodations and tranquil marine destinations. Sustainability is a key focus, with passive and active strategies ensuring energy efficiency, compact development, and bio-design materials. The project aims to establish Gyeongdo Island as Asia’s premier marine and coastal tourism destination, blending culture, nature, and innovation.
