Luxexpo Exhibition Centre and Kirchberg Station

The intermodal exchange manages flows between trains, trams, buses, and pedestrians, prioritising efficiency, visibility, and wayfinding. The Kirchberg Station, positioned nine metres below ground, features three platforms serving four tracks, with a daylit, undulating roof connecting to the Luxexpo level above.

The Exhibition Centre includes five flexible halls, a multifunctional hall, and event spaces, organised by a looping ribbon that incorporates wayfinding and sustainable features. V-shaped voids between the halls provide structural and environmental benefits while creating unique spaces. The main entry offers views of the round point Serra, while a secondary entry connects to the station plaza.

The design promotes interaction between the Exhibition Centre and the urban environment, framing exhibits and creating a communicative hub. This project establishes a high-quality, interconnected urban pole that reflects Luxembourg’s lifestyle and supports both local and international visitors.
