Schiphol Terminal A

By linking the new terminal to existing public transport and central plazas via a pedestrian bridge, the design ensures intuitive navigation and smooth connectivity, making the terminal a key part of the passenger journey. The design emphasises "Spectacular Simplicity" through three motifs: The Sky, The Landscape, and Best Organisation. A transparent ceiling floods the terminal with daylight, while planted landscapes guide passengers and reflect Dutch identity.

Functional zones are organized in clear layers, enabling smooth transitions and future adaptability. Wide column spans and open spaces allow for flexible programming, while natural light and intuitive wayfinding reduce passenger stress. This integrated approach optimises terminal planning and creates a memorable, efficient, and future-ready travel experience.
