The Seoul Twin Eye combines cutting-edge technology with cultural significance, offering expansive panoramic views and a unique experience for residents and visitors alike. Inspired by the Honcheonsigye, an astronomical clock symbolising celestial movement, the design emphasises unity and progress. The wheel’s intersecting rings carry 64 capsules, accommodating over 1,400 people simultaneously, nearly double the capacity of the London Eye. The structure will sit atop a 40-metre cultural complex housing exhibition spaces, a performance hall, retail, and dining options. Additional features, such as a monorail and zip line, enhance accessibility and visitor engagement. Engineered in collaboration with Arup and Heerim Architects, the design ensures stability and resilience, reflecting Korea’s ambition for innovation and beauty.
