The masterplan for the Sochi Waterfront reimagines the Russian Black Sea coast as SoCo, a vibrant and inclusive destination that blends nature, culture, and innovation. Designed to cater to both locals and visitors, SoCo offers a dynamic mix of leisure, luxury, and adventure while celebrating Sochi’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The masterplan integrates hospitality, business, and cultural programs, creating a year-round destination that promotes health, creativity, and sustainability.

With its focus on inclusivity and community, SoCo aims to establish Sochi as a progressive international hub for culture, technology, and innovation. The design introduces key interventions, including a new Marina City and Festival Village as anchors at either end of the beach, connected by three distinct routes: The Lanes, The Boardwalk, and The Green Wave. These routes offer varied experiences, from vibrant retail and dining to serene nature walks. The masterplan also features themed districts, each with unique urban fabrics and attractions.

Sustainability is central to the project, with integrated green spaces, carbon neutrality targets, and real-time environmental data enhancing the built and natural environment. By combining technology with a focus on community and ecology, the Sochi Waterfront masterplan sets a new standard for urban regeneration and coastal development.
