The Island

The Island includes 1,448 rooms across four hotel volumes that appear to float above the waterline. A circular Ocean Drive connects arrivals to hotel lobbies, with underground parking providing easy access. The design zones the Island into public beaches and private hotel areas, ensuring privacy through urban and landscaped elements. Movement within the resort is on foot or by buggy.

The waterfront transitions from beach to promenade to the central cluster of hotels, with the raised design creating rich beaches and a lagoon. Marine-inspired materials and natural cooling enhance comfort, while lush greenery and shading elements make the resort suitable year-round.

The central area features retail, dining, a concert hall, a ballroom, a landscaped plaza, and a performance theatre. A lagoon connects to an underground water park and an Ocean Club with bars, lounges, and private villas. MGM Resorts curates the venues, blending international and local culture.
