Activating the senses through dynamic and sustainable design, UNS designed the Talks Lounge at the Workspace Design Show 2026 to enhance connections and inspire new perspectives. The space combines reused design elements, adaptive lighting, and tactile materials to create a sensory-rich environment for collaboration.
At the heart of the lounge is a commitment to sustainability, showcased through reused design elements sourced globally. Each piece's journey is tracked by the "Design Passport," an online platform initiative by UNS detailing its materials, past uses, and travels. This initiative promotes design longevity and inspires a culture of reuse. The circular design features modular partitions and freestanding, lightweight elements, ensuring adaptability without construction or fixation.
The flexible layout also promotes health and inclusivity, with adaptive lighting creating a comfortable atmosphere and dedicated wheelchair-accessible areas ensuring easy navigation for all. As an open and inviting space, the Talks Lounge fostered community and dialogue, encouraging conversations about a more connected, sustainable future.
