Apgujeong District 3

2022-present

The redevelopment of Apgujeong Residential District 3 in Seoul, in collaboration with Heerim, and NOW Architects, reimagines this iconic Gangnam neighborhood as a benchmark for high-comfort living. Selected by the residents through a transparent and engaging process, the proposal transforms the 45-year-old complex into a vibrant community with 17 towers, including five supertall towers exceeding 300 meters.

Nestled beside the Han River, the masterplan integrates residential, retail, and cultural facilities within a secure private park, offering panoramic river views, dual-orientation apartments, and a blend of luxury and functionality. The design prioritises comfort and exclusivity, with shifted and stacked facade modules creating a distinctive visual rhythm while ensuring privacy and expansive views. Elevated private parks provide pedestrian pathways, scenic river vistas, and community amenities such as fitness centers, guest houses, and art galleries.

At the heart of the development lies a sunken oval square, serving as a central gathering point and honoring the site’s historical significance with the "Heritage Stone." The southern edge features a semi-residential urban hub connected to Apgujeong metro, extending into a sunset promenade and water deck park along the Han River, creating a harmonious balance between urban vibrancy and serene retreat.
