The proposal emphasises Cockle Bay Park’s social role, maximising open public areas in the podium for diverse uses. These spaces support the commercial tower above, which houses office functions. The podium’s sense of place extends vertically, with multiple vistas into the lower tower, reinforcing connections between people, nature, and the surrounding context.
The tower’s form enhances these connections through careful consideration of views, sunlight, slenderness, and verticality. The concept of 'Stepping Stones' breaks the tower’s scale, with sculpted, shifting segments creating a slim and contextually appropriate volume. Terraces are integrated to strengthen ties with nature and the waterfront, offering privileged views.
Social connections are further explored through the tower’s design, incorporating formal and informal spaces with experience-led programming, including leisure and wellness areas, fostering interaction and community.
