The plan includes a network of public spaces, forming a loop that connects the Town Centre with existing areas like Clocktower Park and a new urban space near Ringwood Market. These spaces are designed to serve as primary public areas, enhancing accessibility and connectivity.
The redevelopment of Ringwood Market is central to the plan, transforming it into a mixed-use complex with retail, commercial, and residential components. New laneway malls will connect the east-west retail axis, integrating the market into the broader Town Centre.
The masterplan emphasises re-greening the site, restoring Ringwood’s natural landscape and extending connections to existing green spaces like Ringwood Lake and Mullum Mullum Creek. This approach balances urban development with a mature native landscape, reinforcing the distinction between the urban hub and its suburban surroundings.
