The facade design draws inspiration from Athens’ architectural heritage, incorporating modular mini gardens and indoor-outdoor balconies reminiscent of the erkers (έρκερς) of the neoclassical and modern periods. These spaces serve as semi-public areas for relaxation, connection, and work, reflecting the building’s mixed-use program. Beyond the building, the project addresses broader urban challenges, such as gentrification and the impact of the pandemic, by promoting inclusive renewal and inward growth. By supporting innovation, offering new experiences, and creating spaces that strengthen community ties, the Minion redevelopment becomes a cornerstone for revitalising Omonoia Square and the surrounding city center.
