At the core of the project is a focus on community engagement and social cohesion. The redevelopment integrates work, living, and leisure spaces, creating a mixed-use environment that bridges the financial and cultural hubs of Seoul. The design includes four interconnected towers in District 3 and one in District 6, each approximately 200 metres tall, inspired by the contours of the iconic Bukhansan Mountain. The towers’ massing and façade reflect the mountain’s silhouette, blending natural landscapes with urban architecture.
Public spaces are central to the design, with expansive 20-metre-high lobbies at the base of each tower, themed around natural elements like garden, sky, and river. A public sky observation deck, 200 metres above ground, offers panoramic views of Seoul, providing an immersive experience reminiscent of mountain hiking.
Sustainability is integral, with passive design principles reducing energy loads and enhancing biodiversity. Vertical shading, natural ventilation, and integrated PV panels optimise energy efficiency, while biophilic design in public spaces promotes wellbeing. The facade’s innovative design balances energy performance with architectural expression, creating a development that connects buildings, nature, and the community in a meaningful way.
