The design of Villa Lisi takes into consideration 3 key design parameters: the relationship with the surrounding landscape, Lisi Hill and the city of Tbilisi; the logic of spatial sequencing and the programmatic requirements of the family that commissioned the home.
The landscape enables the villa to be gently layered across 3 levels, combining the functions of sleeping, living and leisure, while maximising the views towards the city from every area of the house.
The central level is the living space, where the kitchen, living room, library, main entrance and main staircase are positioned around a central domestic courtyard. From here, there is direct visibility to the upper level, where the bedrooms and private suites are located. The central courtyard also enables horizontal views through the living spaces, creating a visual sequencing of the space that exploits the spectacular view towards the city of Tbilisi through long glass elevations.
The lower level of the villa accommodates all the leisure facilities, which include a swimming pool, a gym and a wine cellar, in addition to the car garage and the services room.
